Steely-glaring, contemptuous Wednesday Addams (Christina Ricci), participating in a summer camp play at Camp Chippewa about the "First Thanksgiving" feast as the lead Native American Pocahontas, lambasted the lead white Pilgrim character with this ad-libbed monologue to the stunned reactions of everyone:

Wait!.. We cannot break bread with you...You have taken the land which is rightfully ours. Years from now, my people will be forced to live in mobile homes on reservations. Your people will wear cardigans, and drink highballs. We will sell our bracelets by the roadsides. You will play golf, and enjoy hot h'ors d'oeuvres. My people will have pain and degradation. Your people will have stick shifts. The gods of my tribe have spoken. They have said: 'Do not trust the pilgrims, especially Sarah Miller'...And for all these reasons, I have decided to scalp you and burn your village to the ground.

 Now, I invite you to watch this scene since it is absolutely full of content.  Pay attention to each word that the characters use.

When I was young 

we used to meet on Sundays at home

we used to eat wonderful asados

and have a good time

we used to listen to her stories 

and eat lemon pie

But time goes,

now we only have memories of her

we are still meeting on Sundays

My reaccion to "the three little pigs" 

Even thought "the three little pigs" is known as a story for children, it can give a good lesson about life.

I think the story of the little pigs is metaphorical and that each pig can represent different choices in life.

 In the story, three little pigs left their mother's house to build their own homes. 

 The concept of "house" is a completely meaningful term. A house is ones refuge, habitat, nest; It is a place that is shared with loved ones. It is a magic place where ones identity can be discovered on each decorative item, furniture, colour, etc. So a house can be considered to be the reflection of someone's identity in a mirror.

 The pigs have to build up their houses and for that they use different materials, such as straw, wood or brick, according to their preferences.

That is to say that, each pig takes a decision about what kind of house he wants to have in relation to the resources they used.

In our life resources can be education, traditions, experiences, money and time among others.

In the story those who build up their houses with wood and straw finished the work quicker that the one that choose a brick house.

 But the two first ones suffered the wolf attack. It not only distroied their houses (identities) but also ate them all up. 

Build it and rebuild it as many times it is necessary. make of yourself your ideal;  make of yourself a  solid comfortable place to live in. Make of each good decision, a brick for your home. so, invest in your identity.  Build yourself to be happy!

I would like to share this poem with you because of the genuine beauty that is inside of each word of the poem.  I am completely impressed by how harmoniously the ideas flow in the text.   Through vivid pictures and strong relationships, it can offer peace and energy in abundance. That feeling enters in my eyes, runs directly along my legs and later on, sleeps in my heart. 

Remember the sky that you were born under, 
know each of the star's stories. 
Remember the moon, know who she is. I met her 
in a bar once in Iowa City. 
Remember the sun's birth at dawn, that is the 
strongest point of time. Remember sundown 
and the giving away to night. 
Remember your birth, how your mother struggled 
to give you form and breath. You are evidence of 
her life, and her mother's, and hers. 
Remember your father. He is your life also. 
Remember the earth whose skin you are: 
red earth, black earth, yellow earth, white earth 
brown earth, we are earth. 
Remember the plants, trees, animal life who all have their 
tribes, their families, their histories, too. Talk to them, 
listen to them. They are alive poems. 
Remember the wind. Remember her voice. She knows the 
origin of this universe. I heard her singing Kiowa war 
dance songs at the corner of Fourth and Central once. 
Remember that you are all people and that all people are you. 
Remember that you are this universe and that this universe is you. 
Remember that all is in motion, is growing, is you. 
Remember that language comes from this. 
Remember the dance that language is, that life is. 
Remember.
